The SAS Autoworks EFR turbo kit is the ultimate in Bolt on power and reliability for your RX7. This kit was designed not just to fit and look good but to work and work hard !.

THE MANIFOLD

With the 13B Rotary running significantly hotter than a piston engine, getting that heat out is important. Runner length plays a key part in this, the more surface area you have to disperse heat the better just like an inter-cooler or radiator. Longer runners also help to develop more low down torque for off boost response. This aids in trying to maintain as much drive-ability as possible without compromising horse power up top.  Couple this with the already exceptional efficiency of the BorgWarner EFR range and you have a recipe for exceptional throttle response and an amazing power band all the way through the RPM range.  The manifold is made from 304 sch40 stainless steel which is T.I.G welded and back purged for maximum  strength and flow.  Featuring a 14mm thick head flange,  T4 twin scroll Billet collector ,and  two 40mm wastegate take offs to suit the latest Turbosmart  gen V 40mm wastegates.  For the ultimate in boost control.

 

THE TURBO

A BorgWarner EFR 8374  with a 1.05ar or 1.45ar  T4 twin scroll turbine housing. This turbo will see you comfortably up to 500rwhp which is around 600bhp at the flywheel we also offer the 7670 for those desiring less power. The EFR range ( Engineered For Race) all come with.

THE DOWNPIPE

The SAS Autoworks down-pipe is made from 1.6mm thick 304 Stainless steel again T.I.G welded and back purged for superior reliability and performance.  These come with Two 02 sensor  bungs, one at the top in the original position for tuning, and another at the bottom for a wide-band sensor or whatever you so desire to fit  in there. All Our downpipes feature a triple skin interlocking stainless steel flexi joint to aid in movement expansion and reduce NVH. There are 3 options with your downpipe.  Our OEM 2 bolt hole flange options also include a bolt on brace which is located in the stock position.

  • 4″ bore  V band fitment
  • 3.5″ bore OEM 2 bolt flange fitment
  • 3.5″ with 3.5″ V band fitment (mates to SAS 3.5″exhaust when purchased together)

THE WASTGATES 

Turbosmart are well established when it comes to boost control so it just makes sense to use their latest Wastegate in our kit. The new Gen-V 40mm comp gates are a direct upgrade to the V4 and still interchangeable. These come with a variety of springs up to 14psi and come as default in black if you would like another colour please contact us.

 

THE DUMP TUBES/ RETURNED WASTEGATES 

The twin dump tubes are again made from 304 stainless steel and back purged for superior strength and reliability.  These fit around the sub-frame and point downward away from anything that can ignite or be damaged by the heat when they open. I also offer this with both wastegates plumbed back into the downpipe for Street/ track friendly cars. (we recommend a 3.5″ downpipe with this option).

 

THE OIL AND WATER LINES 

The oil and water line kit includes a AN4 braided stainless steel oil feed line.  Adaptor to go into the block and onto the  AN4 oil feed.   An AN10 Oil return line kit with heat sleeve.  SAS oil take off for the return  Handmade coolant hard lines and silicone joiners on to the engine. and a oil return blanking plate for the spare return.

 

 

HEATER MATRIX RELOCATION PIPE

With this kit the stock heater matrix hose can be in the way and often too close to the turbo. So we have included a aluminium hard pipe to re route it on the cold side of the engine out of harms way. This comes with all necessary silicone hoses and clamps and bolts to the chassis as pictured in a oem bolt hole.
